There's been a lot of talk lately about the economy taking a turn for the worse. Statistically speaking it has declined, but does that mean you have to enter a recession?

Back in 2000 when the Bush/Gore ballots were being counted I heard Grace Slick interviewed on the radio. The announcer asked her what she thought about the election. She replied, "In my lifetime there have been Democrats and there have been Republicans. And you know what, my life has pretty much stayed the same." I loved her comment because it rang so true. We each live in our own world of consciousness.

What happens in our day to day life is more impacted by our personal beliefs than by what is happening out in the world. Look to see if that has been true in your life.

You may be thinking that's fine with politics, but when it comes to money it affects me much more directly. With the media drenched culture we live in, you're probably right. The economy can turn in a flash when a consciousness of lack ripples through it, and that's what appears to be happening now.

Fortunately Spirit doesn't read the newspapers and isn't affected by the ups and downs of the economy. The essence of Spirit is one of abundance. During these times it is wise to look to Spirit for guidance instead of the media and our fears.
