Do You Want Too Much?

Printer-Friendly Format

Lately I've noticed a pattern to an inner struggle some people are experiencing. It revolves around the question, is it really okay for me to have all of what I want? We live in a culture that says we're selfish, ungrateful and should be satisfied with what we have. And yet, why do we desire more?

When it's a false desire, a desire we're following to satisfy a perceived inadequacy within ourselves, there is never enough to fill the void. We appear selfish as we run around fruitlessly trying to satisfy an insatiable hunger. But that's not what we're talking about here.

You deserve to have what you really want because fulfilling that is your purpose for being here. Why else would Spirit plant those seeds of true desire within you? When you try to talk yourself out of wanting what you want or thinking you don't deserve it, you go against the natural flow of nature.

Yes it is possible to live all of what you value. That may be a healthy loving relationship, financial abundance, a strong healthy body, creative and satisfying work, a deep connection with yourself and others and to experience beauty, love, truth, joy and abundance each and every day.

The only limit that stands in your way is a belief, a thought, that for some reason it is not okay for you to be who you are and want what you want. Ignoring your true desires is a complete disregard for the presence of Spirit in your life. Spirit wants what you want, there is no separation. You and Spirit are one.

This week notice if there are aspects of yourself that you are denying for fear of having, wanting or expecting too much.

Affirmation: I honor Spirit by saying yes to the fullest expression of who I am.
