When is the Right Time?

Printer-Friendly Format

The topic of timing is very interesting. Sometimes we want to make something happen before its time and on other occasions we resist and push against when the time is right. How can we tell the difference?

Nature doesn't find itself in this dilemma. When it's time for a flower to bloom or a baby to be born there is not much that can be done to hold it back. And if the fruit is not ripe it will stay on the tree until it is. But it is not always that way for us. We have the ability to make conscious choices which put us in charge of our decisions.

On first examination these choices may appear to be a good thing because they allow us to have greater control over our experiences. But upon further study maybe having so many choices can actually get in the way.

Both wanting to rush things along and avoiding what wants to happen are rooted in fear and scarcity. Typically when we want to force something to happen before its time there is a scarcity belief present. For example; I'm running out of time, if it doesn't happen now it never will, I'll miss my chance, I won't get what's mine, etc.

And when we resist what wants to happen, fear is also present. For example;I'm not ready, it's not good enough, I need more time, I haven't practiced enough, etc.

In this very moment there is more than enough good happening in our life. Yet, when we believe we have to control and direct the outcome we lose sight of what is here.

This week notice how your life unfolds when you release control and surrender to the guidance of Spirit.

Affirmation: I am in sync with divine timing. Everything I want and
need manifests at the perfect time and I know the right action to take.
