What Are You Right About?

Printer-Friendly Format

I was reading an article about Marissa Mayer who is the Vice President of
Search Products & User Experience at Google. She's young and extremely
accomplished in her professional and personal life.

A colleague of hers commented that he'd never had a conversation with her
when she wasn't completely certain she was right. My initial reaction was that
would probably be pretty annoying to be around, but as I thought more about
it I became intrigued.

As humans we always want to be right. If you pay attention to your speaking,
you'll hear what you're being right about. Do you hear yourself saying things
like, "I have a great life, I love my life, I'm so blessed, I'm doing a great job" or
do you hear yourself saying, "I always have too much to do, nothing exciting
ever happens in my life, it's never my turn, or I'm always screwing up."

We speak what we're thinking; our words typically don't contradict our
thoughts. And then our actions flow from our words. The words coming out of
our mouth will be the reality we ultimately create. Working with our thoughts is
a powerful tool. Each second of the day we have the opportunity to start over
with a clean slate and redesign our reality.

This week listen to one of the strongest desires that Spirit wants you to have.
Make the decision to be right about its manifestation. Align yourself with the
desire and speak it into existence, even if initially you are the only one
hearing it. Instead of building a case for why you can't have what you want,
you'll notice yourself gathering evidence to be right about why you can have it.

Affirmation: I say yes to the desires of my heart.
